Major Grant Powell and two friends are teaming up to climb Pen Y Fan, the highest mountain in South Wales, 10 times in 24 hours, equalling an ascent distance of 29,070 ft – 40 ft higher than Mount Everest all in aid of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.
Two young serving soldiers are preparing to push themselves to their physical limits as they take on four major endurance events in support of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity in a gruelling 10-week challenge.
The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust has awarded over £69,000 to SSAFA’s Glasgow’s Helping Heroes to support its RESOLVE project, which helps serving personnel, veterans, and their families in Glasgow access key services such as financial, housing, and employability support.
