Army officer and pals will hike the height of Mount Everest in aid of SSAFA 13 March 2026 Major Grant Powell and two friends are teaming up to climb Pen Y Fan, the highest mountain in South Wales, 10 times in 24 hours, equalling an ascent distance of 29,070 ft – 40 ft higher than Mount Everest all in aid of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity. Yorkshire soldiers to push limits with four-event challenge in just 10 weeks for SSAFA 12 March 2026 Two young serving soldiers are preparing to push themselves to their physical limits as they take on four major endurance events in support of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity in a gruelling 10-week challenge.
