A free concert to mark HM The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, held on June 2 in Perth's stunning concert hall, to kick off the area’s Jubilee events has raised more than £2,000.
Eleven hundred free seats are up for grabs at a concert on Thursday, June 2 with donations from a retiring collection going to the Perth & Kinross Branch of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.
Volunteers for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity in Perth & Kinross, elsewhere in Scotland, the rest of the UK, and even overseas have had their contributions recognised with the Sir James Gildea Local Award.
Huntingdonshire Concert Band will perform alongside The Band of the Grenadier Guards in the opening concert of ‘the worlds most renowned and iconic military bands’ tour of the UK.
