Welcome to the SSAFA Autumn Appeal 2026 webpage!

For the men and women who serve, and the families who stand beside them, life can change in an instant. Illness, injury, financial strain, or the challenges of civilian life can leave even the strongest feeling overwhelmed.

That’s when SSAFA steps in. With understanding, compassion, and practical support, we make sure no one in our Armed Forces community faces hardship alone.

But we can only do this with your help.

A SSAFA volunteer's Gift in Will, and a community's need for a place of sanctuary, respite and friendship.

Support SSAFA today so that we can continue to provide community services to both veterans and serving personnel, as well as their families.  Even the smallest donation can be used to show all the members of our Armed Forces that they will never battle alone. 

Thanks to the fantastic backing we receive from our incredible supporters, SSAFA is able to help people in the Armed Forces community, like Gabby and her family, and all those who benefit from the community garden at the Gordon Messenger Centre.

Our mission is to be the most trusted source of support for all those who have served our nation, so that our Armed Forces know that we are here for them and their families, in times of peace and war.

We help fresh recruits in their first days of service, experienced service personnel in times of crisis, those who take their first steps back into civilian life, and older veterans with their unique set of concerns and needs.
