Worcestershire Branch thanks volunteers for tireless commitment through pandemic

05 August 2021

28 volunteers from SSAFA Worcestershire were treated to an event at The Diglis House Hotel in Worcester City Centre on Tuesday to thank them for their tremendous support to the Armed Forces community.

Volunteers from the local SSAFA Worcestershire branch were treated to lunch at the event and given the opportunity to come together and catch up on the last year. In attendance was the Deputy Lord Lieutenant, Major General (Rtd) Mark Armstrong.

Tony Hacon, Branch Secretary at SSAFA Worcestershire, said: “The last year has been incredibly difficult for our volunteers, so we hope that this local event thanks them for their tremendous service to our Armed Forces community. We have also welcomed many new members to our team so it was a fantastic opportunity for our branch to get together and catch up.
