We are the Sussex branch of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.
SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity is a trusted source of support for serving personnel, veterans and their families in their time of need. Founded in 1885, we’re extremely proud of our long-standing heritage and of all the work we do with inspiring people from Sussex, across the UK and around the world.

We love what we do. The sense of pride you get when you know you’ve helped someone get their independence and dignity back is extraordinary. Through volunteering for SSAFA Sussex, you’ll have the chance to meet some truly inspiring people, with stories you’ll never forget. Help your local SSAFA branch deliver a variety of activities and events with the aim of generating awareness and making a positive impact on the local community.
Joins SSAFA Sussex, the Band of The Irish Guards and others, on November 18 in East Grinstead for an evening of festive music!
SSAFA staff, and volunteers, including many veterans of all three services, will attend the Remembrance Sunday march at the Cenotaph in Whitehall on Remembrance Sunday, 11 November.
SSAFA and One Vision Uniformed Services are running an event for veterans, reservists and serving personnel, connecting them to local employers and recruiters.
A "brilliant" veterans' event was held as part of the English Football League Week of Action, by SSAFA and the Bradford City Football Club Community Foundation.
