Live ChatBoeing is a leading global aerospace company who develops, manufactures and services commercial airplanes, defence products and space systems for customers in more than 150 countries. They have partnered with the UK since before the Second World War. Over the course of a relationship that spans more than 80 years, they have grown to a highly skilled workforce of over 3,600 people across 30 key locations.
Boeing have been a Corporate Partner of SSAFA since 2015, and in that time have donated over £290,000. In 2019, Boeing launched a $10 million fund to be distributed across 102 Armed Forces charities worldwide, and SSAFA were thrilled to be named as one of the benefitting charities.
The Boeing Emergency Fund will consist of over £42,000 to be accessed by SSAFA’s on-the-ground team of caseworkers, to help members of the Forces family urgent need. The other portion of the grant will be allocated to SSAFA’s vital Mentoring Scheme.
Not only that, but Boeing employees also support SSAFA through volunteering and fundraising initiatives. With over 3,600 employees across the UK and many of those part of their ex-forces network- BRAVO- we are excited to track the success of the partnership.
