Annual Quality Account Summary

Every year SSAFA Cyprus releases a Annual Quality Account Summary which reviews the services we provide, the policies that guide us, and our future priorities.

This Quality Account summary provides an overview of the quality, impact, and assurance of services delivered to British Forces families in Cyprus during the last contract year. It is an important mechanism for transparency and accountability, offering assurance to commissioners, safeguarding partners, and communities that our services are safe, effective, responsive, and well led. It also demonstrates the tangible impact of SSAFA Community Health in a complex overseas context.

As we approach 2026, we want to reflect on and celebrate the significant achievements of SSAFA Community Health over the past year.

Key Highlights from 2024–2025

  • Delivery of high quality, evidence based care across health visiting, school nursing, midwifery, CAMHS, therapies, and specialist services, aligned with NICE guidance and national safeguarding standards.
  • ISO 9001 recertification, reinforcing robust quality management systems and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Strong safeguarding leadership, including a successful Section 11 audit, enhanced supervision, and close collaboration with the Local Safeguarding Partnership Board.
  • Visible public health impact through year-round campaigns on child safety, infant feeding, mental health, school readiness, and family wellbeing.
  • Positive service user feedback, with families reporting feeling listened to, involved in care planning, and supported during key transition points, particularly in the context of overseas postings.
  • Implementation of Togetherness (Solihull) digital parenting courses for families posted to Cyprus and globally, with over 100 active users to date.
  • Collaborative system working with British Forces Cyprus, DPHC, education settings, welfare partners, and voluntary sector organisations.

Throughout 2024–2025, SSAFA Community Health has played a critical role in protecting children, supporting families, reducing isolation, and promoting early intervention, while adapting services to meet the unique needs of military families overseas. Looking ahead to 2026, we remain committed to building on these successes, strengthening partnerships, and improving outcomes for our community.

The summary report will be available in full soon.
