Quality Account

The Quality Account is an overview of all the quality assurance Community Health Care activities undertaken within a year period with key quality priorities set for the following year. The Quality Account is an opportunity to provide assurance to our commissioners and community that SSAFA are meeting our contractual requirements and that the services being delivered are a high quality. High quality defined as keeping patients safe, using best and effective clinical practice and involving and engaging the community in feedback on our services.

Quality Assurance

Robust quality assurance has the following elements at its heart:

  • A culture of learning and transparency alongside strong leadership.
  • Placing patient safety as a priority above all aims.
  • Empowering and engaging with patients and carers.
  • The vital importance of collating and understanding data and information performance in relation to quality performance indicators.
  • Identifying risks and resolving risks at an early stage.

Quality Assurance Processes

ISO 9001:2015

SSAFA has implemented the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System as a contract requirement with the intention of improving the overall performance of the delivery of Community Healthcare Services.  As described in our Quality Policy, this is intended to result in securing efficiency, and a strong focus on our community needs in the long term.

You can review our most recent ISO 9001 Certificate of Registration here.

ISO 9001 certified

What is ISO: The International Standards Organisation (ISO) decide on and publish standards for everything you could think of! For businesses, ISO certification can be achieved in relation to its management system, i.e. the way we run our business.  Therefore, if a company holds an ISO certification, then it displays that it operates to an internationally recognised level.

Contract Performance

The MOD have contracted SSAFA to provide Community Health Care in Cyprus and in identified areas overseas. The Services are monitored through Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Each Service has its KPI with set targets to achieve.

Policies and Procedures

The Integrated Governance and Data Lead ensures that all Policies and Procedures are monitored and updated as required. He also ensures that all staff have access to these.

Incidents and Plaudits

All incidents and plaudits are captured to enable SSAFA to learn and continuously improve our service. These are reported to SSAFA Directors Board and to the MOD.

Annual Quality Account Summary

Every year SSAFA Cyprus releases an Annual Quality Account Summary which reviews the services we provide, the policies that guide us, and our future priorities.  You can download the most recent summary report below.
