Music, Drink, Flowers and Fundraising at Oxfordshire's Bubbles & Blooms event!
14 July 2026
SSAFA Oxfordshire was delighted to partner with the Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum (SOFO) for Bubbles & Blooms in the Garden, a special summer evening that brought together supporters from across the county to celebrate history, community, and the Armed Forces family.
Held in the beautiful grounds of the Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum in Woodstock, guests enjoyed drinks and canapés, live jazz from the Waterloo Band of The Rifles, exclusive behind-the-scenes archive tours, and access to the museum's first-ever From Battlefields to Blooms flower show, alongside the acclaimed Lee Miller: Women at War exhibition.
The event raised valuable funds to support SSAFA's work with serving personnel, veterans, and their families across Oxfordshire and beyond – because no one should ever have to battle alone.
Ian Talbot, Chair of SSAFA Oxfordshire Branch, said: “We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended and helped make Bubbles & Blooms such a wonderful success. The evening demonstrated the strength of our local community and what can be achieved when organisations come together to support and champion those who have served.
“We’re so thankful to the team at the Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum for their partnership, Unipart for sponsoring the event, the Waterloo Band of The Rifles for providing wonderful entertainment – and to everyone who volunteered their time to make the evening such a memorable occasion.
“Every ticket purchased will help SSAFA continue providing practical, emotional, and financial support to members of the Armed Forces community whenever they need us.”
