We’re proud to recognise an outstanding achievement by Pte Sanjeev Thapa Magar and the team from 9 Regiment Royal Logistic Corps / 94 Squadron (Hullavington), who recently completed their fundraiser: “Two Days. Two Challenges. One Purpose: All For Our Veterans.”

The team chose to honour the 56 nations of the Commonwealth and mark the 49th Commonwealth Day, by taking on a combined activity challenge over two days.  One day 1 they used cycling and skiing machines to reach a distance of 56km, and on day 2 they completed a 49km combined row and run.

Through determination, teamwork, and commitment to a great cause, they successfully raised an incredible £784 for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.

This inspiring effort was led by:

  • Cpl Subash Gurung (Overall IC)
  • Pte Sanjeev Thapa Magar (Team Leader)
  • Pte Hemanta Rai
  • Pte Mirak Limbu

Pte Sanjeev said: "We believe in pushing limits not just physically, but for causes that truly matter. We are passionate about bringing people together and using challenges as a way to create a positive impact in our community. Every kilometre represents solidarity. Every donation creates real support for real people."

Elizabeth Rossiter, Senior Events Officer, said: "Their dedication to supporting the Armed Forces community and giving back to veterans is truly commendable. Thank you for going the extra mile and helping us ensure no one battles alone."
