A sweet relationship between SSAFA and Aramark bags £76k in 2025

11 December 2025

Aramark Government Services (Aramark) has raised more than £76,000 in 2025 for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity. This brings the total raised for SSAFA to well over £250,000 since Aramark became a corporate partner in 2017.

The 2025 total has been achieved though individual fundraising initiatives, including a team taking part in SSAFA’s flagship fundraiser 13 Bridges Challenge held each Armed Forces Day, and other fundraisers by employees. The bulk, however, came from customers rounding up their shopping bills at tills in Aramark’s 90 + shopping outlets located on UK Armed Forces bases and through buying carrier bags, which netted an incredible £71,000 for SSAFA this year.

A grant of £366 has been donated to SSAFA through Aramark’s Social Current project to provide Christmas presents for women and children staying at Stepping Stone Home - SSAFA’s safe haven for those connected to the Armed Forces who have experienced domestic abuse and violence. As well as this, one of its kind-hearted employees has also donated beauty gifts for women staying at, and arriving at, Stepping Stone Home.

But Aramark’s generosity doesn’t stop there. Recently launched at Aramark’s military restaurants and shops are SSAFA Sweets - strawberry fizzy pencils - created by Delicious Ideas, with bags branded in SSAFA’s tri-service colours of Navy Blue, Army Red, and Air Force Blue.

Welcoming the news, Kate Hodgson, Corporate Partnerships Manager of SSAFA, said: “Partnerships like the one SSAFA has with Aramark show the power of working together and the real difference they make, and so we’re incredibly grateful to Aramark and Delicious Ideas for their creativity and generosity.

“The sweets made by Delicious Ideas, which also supported 13 Bridges, are another amazing innovation and show just how valued our veterans, serving personnel, and their families are by industries supporting the Armed Forces. From all at SSAFA, and from all the people we support, thank you.”

The sentiment was echoed by David Fradgley, Head of Marketing, Aramark UK + Global Energy, who added: “We’re really proud to work in collaboration with SSAFA and Delicious Ideas to create a unique product to help us raise much needed funds for our charity partner.

“This is a terrific opportunity to support our Armed Forces community, share positive messages and highlight the great work SSAFA does throughout the UK and on bases overseas.”
