The Mobility Furniture Company makes it sofa, so good for SSAFA

Representatives from SSAFA Kent and The Mobility Furniture Company (MFC) were on hand to mark the company’s latest showroom, which opened in Tunbridge Wells on November 12.

MFC – based in Weston-super-Mare – has been designing and producing hand-made specialist furniture in the UK for 30 years for people with a range of mobility issues. It has partnered with SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity and given a generous donation, as well as a riser recliner chair and sofa set to be given to a SSAFA beneficiary in Kent.

SSAFA Kent’s Regional Casework Manager Sarah Evans expressed her and SSAFA’s thanks to James Mitton of MFC, saying: “Improving the lives of serving personnel, veterans, and their families is at the heart of what we do at SSAFA, and the generosity of The Mobility Furniture Company – both its cash donation and these superb pieces of specialist furniture – will go a long way to helping those in our service community.”

James, who is MFC’s Managing Director, added: “Working with SSAFA is a great fit for The Mobility Furniture Company. Our product range tallies with some of the physical needs of people within the Armed Forces family. But more importantly, the caring ethos of SSAFA and the drive to make a constructive difference to people’s lives is one that we strive to achieve at every stage of our own communications and dealings with customers.”
