Floral tribute to World War Two heroes

31 October 2025

All Saints’ Church, Upper Clatford, near Andover, will mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II with beautiful WWII themed flower displays on Saturday 8 November.

There will be an opportunity to find out how previous generations of today’s local community were involved in WWII through displays of very moving and poignant correspondence.

There will also be a chance to see what has been uncovered from recent research on archives on what happened in Upper Clatford from 1939-1945.

Several Village organisations such Upper Clatford Women’s Institute and the Clatford Valley Gardening Club, will be mounting displays reflecting aspects of life during the War.

Themed art work by local people in 2025 will complement the floral and archive displays.

Admission to the Floral Tribute is free with donations in aid of the SSAFA.

The Floral Tribute will be open on Saturday 8 November, from 10am to 4pm.

All Saints’ Church is situated to the south of the main village street in Church Lane, Upper Clatford,, and is close to the A303.
