SSAFA Durham supplies breakfast and a doorstep chat to Armed Forces Community in Isolation

SSAFA Wear Valley & Teesdale Division, part of County Durham Branch completed ‘Operation SSAFA Break 3’ on Friday 30 November, delivering 69 bacon butties out to beneficiaries and veterans who are in isolation or have been shielding since lockdown.
The butties were kindly made by staff at Broom Mill Farm Shop Butchery and Cafe and delivered by local volunteers including Bishop Auckland College pupils in accordance with social distancing protocols. A puzzle and message flyer was also included, produced by students from Bishop Auckland College.
