A community-led Armed Forces Family Fun Day will take place on Friday 16 August, from 11am to 4pm at Hartlepool Rovers Football Club, New Friarage - raising vital funds for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, as part of its 140th anniversary year.

Organised by local volunteers Lala Resin and Daniel Gaitorblu, the event is set to be a fantastic day out for all ages, with military-themed activities, family entertainment, and over 50 local trader stalls.

Attractions Include:

  • Inflatables and fairground rides
  • Mini rugby tournament
  • Armed Forces breakfast club meet-up
  • Laser tag, axe throwing and circus sideshows
  • WWII field kitchen
  • Face painting and children’s activities
  • Rookman Swindler & Co. live street circus
  • Licensed bar and street food vendors

Funds raised will go to SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, which has been supporting serving personnel, veterans, and their families for 140 years.

“This fun day is a chance for local families to come together, show support for our Armed Forces community, and raise money for a brilliant cause,” said one of the event organisers, Lala Resin.
