A Leeds geologist is running 30 marathons for 30 charities in her 30th year to raise £30,000.
Enough tea and coffee to float a battleship, and enough cake to sink it were consumed on Easter Saturday at the first Big Brew Up held by the South East Wales branch of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.
£5,000 grant will support SSAFA beneficiaries in the Glasgow area.
Larkhall’s Andy Lockhart describes the help SSAFA gave his wife after a stroke and how he is repaying the charity by taking on the Glasgow Kiltwalk.
