It has been a busy, and successful, recent couple of weeks for the Staffordshire Branch of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.
After the disappointment of the 2020 and 2021 Boston 1940s Events being cancelled because of lockdowns, the eagerly awaited fourth running of the day was a roaring success.
Two local women joined forces to lay on a fundraiser in their local pub, the Corporation Arms on Freeman Street in Grimsby, in aid of SSAFA.
Under fine skies on Armed Forces Day, veterans and cadets were greeted with friendly faces and enthusiastic cheering in Liverpool.
