SSAFA Gloucestershire recently honoured not one, but two of their volunteers with a prestigious award.
Bob, a former Sapper and now a photographer, got chatting to competitor Dale who was wearing a SSAFA sports top at the recent Horwich Triathlon, and found him to be anything but a routine entrant.
A special ceremony took place this week at Cardiff’s Maindy Barracks: the planting of a pair of right royal rowan trees (Sorbus Aucuparia) to commemorate the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III.
As the Monarch is the head of the British Armed Forces, it is no surprise that the serving community in Upavon came together to have a jolly good knees-up to toast the newly crowned King.
