For everyone!

Join SSAFA this summer on the streets of Glasgow as they come alive with a trail of giant Scottie dog sculptures, each one transformed by a different artist into a colourful, larger-than-life work of art.

This free, family-friendly trail offers locals and visitors alike the chance to explore the city in a whole new way!

SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity are sponsoring a very special Scottie sculpture - "Mother's Pride" - please come and find us, take a selfie, and show your support for the Armed Forces community!

What is Scotties in the City?

Scotties in the City is a public art trail coming to Glasgow in summer 2026.

A partnership between public art organisation Wild in Art and cancer charity Maggie’s, the trail will see a number of giant Scottie dog sculptures pop up in the city and surrounding area for six weeks from 18 June to 16 August 2026.

What is SSAFA’s role?

SSAFA is sponsoring one of the giant Scottie sculptures that are out and about in Glasgow for residents and visitors to find.

Each Scottie is different, and each features information about their sponsor and the artist who created them.

For SSAFA, Scotties in the City is all about engaging a new audience with who we are and what we do; raising our profile and inspiring people to support and champion the Armed Forces community.

You’ll find SSAFA’s Scottie guarding the Govan-Partick Bridge near our Glasgow’s Helping Heroes support hub. He’d love to meet you!

Take a selfie for SSAFA at the Scotties in the City community event!

SSAFA’s Scottie, ‘Mother’s Pride’, is one of 40 giant scottie dog sculptures dotted around Glasgow this summer.

What can you do?

Supporters old and new can seek out our SSAFA Scottie and share a selfie!

Download the Scotties in the City app for help to find him and don’t forget to tag SSAFA on socials!

If you’re feeling keen, head over too to the Mitchell Library and meet wee scottie ‘Joseph’. He was created by pupils from St Joseph’s Primary School with help from SSAFA Glasgow and Renfrewshire Branch volunteers.
