Love music? Love history? Love a picnic?
Then you might also love the Battle Proms!
The Battle Proms are back for 2026 - this year at three incredible locations - the grounds of the amazing Burghley House, Hatfield Park, and Highclere Castle (the setting of the Downton Abbey TV series!).
Join SSAFA at the UK’s longest‑running open‑air picnic prom series, established in 1997 and now attracting around 30,000 visitors each summer. The concerts are renowned for their blend of iconic classical favourites and film, TV, and musical themes, all culminating in a rousing “Last Night of the Proms” finale accompanied by dazzling fireworks and cannon-fire!
Before the music starts guests are treated to flybys of historic aircraft, parachute displays and vintage living-history exhibitions. Guests can bring their own picnics, or purchase luxury hampers they can pick up on the day. Each event is a one-day festival of music, history and a celebration of the English summer - a truly fantastic experience!
And of course, with each ticket sold, a donation is made to SSAFA - since 2018 the Battle Proms have raised over £337,000 for the Armed Forces community.
Join us this summer at one of the three locations for a memorable and magical day!
