Vistry raises £54k for SSAFA at golf tourney

11 September 2024

Vistry Group, the UK’s leading mixed tenure housebuilder, has a year-long partnership with SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity with a target of £270,000.

The partnership reflects the synergies that exist between the company and the charity as Vistry Group also has strong ties with serving members and veterans of the Armed Forces.

The target, however, has been smashed and Vistry’s recent golf tourney – held at the JCB Golf and Country Club in Staffordshire – helped by raising more than £54,000 on the day pushing the total raised to £329,931 with an additional £22,900 in Gift Aid.

Lizzie Rossiter, SSAFA’s Corporate Account Manager, said: “It’s been an incredible first nine months of the partnership, and with three months to go, it’s anyone’s guess just how much the generous people at Vistry will raise for SSAFA.

I’d like to add on behalf of the charity, its volunteers, and most importantly its beneficiaries, my thanks to all who took part, and Kelly Higgins and others in Vistry’s Group Procurement Team, who organised the day and made the tourney the fantastic success it was.

Corporate Partnerships are a vital source of income for SSAFA so that it can carry on its work for serving personnel and veterans, as well as their families, making sure that anyone who needs help will never battle alone.”
