We love what we do. The sense of pride you get when you know you’ve helped someone get their independence and dignity back is extraordinary. Through volunteering for SSAFA Greater Manchester, you’ll have the chance to meet some truly inspiring people, with stories you’ll never forget. You’ll also gain new skills and experiences, but most importantly, you’ll make a difference in the lives of those who have dedicated their lives, often at great sacrifice, to protect and serve our country.
You will be trained by our central office staff in casework which will include training on GDPR and Safeguarding. You will also need an enhanced DBS certificate which will be ordered for you. Roles as well as caswork include fundraising and treasurer. Ideally suited to someone who has semi-retired who has a couple of days or mornings a week to give to the charity.
