Christmas concert to bring community together in support of Armed Forces
28 November 2025
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas as the Stirlingshire community prepares for its annual Christmas Cracker.
Organised by the Forth Valley branch of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, this flagship event of the festive calendar brings together music, singing, readings, and community spirit – and tickets are selling fast.
Taking place on Saturday 13th December, this year’s Christmas Cracker will feature rousing songs from the West of Scotland Military Wives Choir and Royal Highland Education Trust (RHET) Choir, as well as music from the SSAFA Brass Ensemble.
Ian McAlister, Chair of SSAFA Forth Valley Branch, said of the event: “Now in its tenth year, the Christmas Cracker has become one of the hottest draws in Stirling's festive calendar. It has always been well supported and appreciated as a community event and we have been delighted to see that support continue to thrive year on year.
“For SSAFA Forth Valley Branch, our supporters, and the people we have helped throughout the year and in previous years, the Christmas Cracker is an opportunity to enjoy time together and bring friends and family to share the joy of the festive season.
“We would really encourage everyone to attend and kickstart their festivities with a heart-warming community event in support of serving military personnel, veterans, and families.”
The concert, with refreshments, will take place at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Albert Place, Stirling FK8 2RG on Saturday 13th December at 3pm.
Tickets cost £5 on the door, with under-10s free, or can be reserved by calling SSAFA Forth Valley branch volunteer Mary Kenyon on 01786 870360.
