Become a SSAFA Caseworker
23 August 2019
Our network of trained Caseworkers are at the heart of SSAFA's work, providing practical and emotional support for serving personnel, veterans and military families in Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.
Last year, our team of over 5,000 volunteers completed 35,819 cases. their hard work and outstanding commitment supporting the Armed Forces community enabled SSAFA to help over 85,000 people that SSAFA helped.
Why should you volunteer for SSAFA?
The sense of pride I get from seeing a case until the end and being able to witness the changes I have made is truly an experience that I could only get at SSAFA.
- Michelle, Caseworker
It's also interesting to see the type of impact SSAFA volunteers have, from the point of view of our clients. In the words of Stuart Burton:
That phone call saying Kathy will see you tomorrow, that's when things started to change. SSAFA got me a flat and made it into a home. Now I get to have my son every wekeend, we go swimming and for bike rides"
