Local fundraiser takes on the London Marathon for SSAFA!
Nicola McKie, from Oban in Argyll and Bute, turned to SSAFA when her struggles with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) took over her life. Through volunteering for SSAFA Argyll & Bute, you’ll have the chance to meet some truly inspiring people, with stories you’ll never forget. You’ll also gain new skills and experiences, but most importantly, you’ll make a difference in the lives of those who have dedicated their lives, often at great sacrifice, to protect and serve our country.
As the first point of contact for SSAFA in the area, you will play a crucial part in promoting SSAFA locally, organising events and ensuring the smooth running of SSAFA across the divisions in your branch.
Help your local SSAFA branch deliver a variety of activities and events with the aim of generating awareness and making a positive impact on the local community.
To celebrate SSAFA The Armed Forces Charity 140th Anniversary, Northampton Branch have had a teddy bear called Edward out on adventures with the Armed Forces on raffle.
