We are the Argyll & Bute branch of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.

Local fundraiser takes on the London Marathon for SSAFA!
Nicola McKie, from Oban in Argyll and Bute, turned to SSAFA when her struggles with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) took over her life. To give back she is running the 2025 London Marathon to raise funds for the charity. Read Nicola's story here. Good luck to Nicola, from all of us at the Argyll & Bute branch!

Honouring Courage and Sacrifice. We pause to remember the courage, endurance, and sacrifice of the soldiers of the 2nd Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. Their story is one of resilience in the face of unimaginable hardship during the Second World War.
A Kentish lad is taking on the 11 day fundraising drive in his replica of the 2001 World Rally Championship winning Suaru Impreza.
SSAFA is delighted to have helped the children and teachers of Cranwell Primary School - near RAF Cranwell - to publish their fantastic book "Friends Forever", which looks at the needs of military families' children.
