Taking Care of the Pennies
07 February 2020
Collecting tins are a traditional way for organisations and businesses to help charities, and are a staple source of income. We are always amazed at just how much money it's possible to get into a tin, so we were delighted to hear that Amesbury Community and Visitors Centre's tin raised a magnificent £199.54.
The Centre is used as an access point for many local services and groups, as well as giving information to visitors to the town/area. The centre is run by a dedicated group of approx 20 volunteers and supported by Amesbury Town Council.
SSAFA Volunteer Bob Bailey, whose wife works at the Centre, went along to show our appreciation to Mrs Maggie Weston and the Centre's team by presenting a "Thank You" certificate.
The money raised will be put to good use supporting the Forces Family in our Kennet Division.
If you are able to host one of our tins in your business, club or other suitable venue, get in touch! (Contact details are at the top of this page.)
