Caseworker

As a caseworker, you’ll meet up with veterans and their families to talk through the problems that they face, and work with them to find a solution.

About the role

Our Caseworkers spend their time visiting our clients, often former Service men and women, living in their local community. During these visits they provide friendly advice and discuss the support our clients might need. Once the Caseworker has assessed these needs, they will then help clients to access the right assistance, for example financial support.

Volunteering with SSAFA is special because you get to see first hand the difference you make to people’s lives. As a Caseworker you will work with clients and other organisation throughout each case, keeping everybody up to date with progress and letting them know the outcome.

As part of a team of committed volunteers you will also help to raise awareness about SSAFA ’s work in your community - both amongst people who need our support and potential new volunteers and fundraisers – as well as taking part in local fundraising events when you can!

This rewarding role is an opportunity to offer your time and expertise to benefit those in your community, as well as to develop new skills and meet some inspirational people.
