The ever-popular Cross Bay Walk for SSAFA is back! 

Join us on this unique 7-8 mile walk from Arnside to Grange-over-Sands whilst helping to raise much needed funds to aid SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity in the North West. There really is no better way to see the magnificent Morecambe Bay!

Led by Michael Wilson, the King's Guide to the Sands, we leave Arnside and cross the beautiful bay, along a safe route navigated between the tidal flow. This unique route varies from year to year depending on the tides, but usually takes between 3 to 4 hours to complete.

All participants receive a free SSAFA T-shirt. We ask that you aim to raise a minimum of £50 in sponsorship per participant, every penny raised in sponsorship makes a difference.

This is a great event for families and groups of friends. If you wish to make a group booking please ensure to create a team on the registration page. You will be able to name your team and also enter the email addresses for the rest of your members to send out invites.

Please note:

• Parents should assess whether the walk is suitable for young children. Children should be able to negotiate the river channels with minimum assistance.  
• There are toilets situated on both promenades close to the start and finish points of the walk.
• There are many cafes at Arnside where we start the walk, due to the early start, we recommend that walkers take a flask and snack in their rucksack.
• Dogs welcome - £1 donation payable on the day to the organiser.

Registration Fees:

• £15 per adult (18 years +)
• £5 per child (17 and under)
