You can help people in need by visiting, listening and talking to them, to work out the best ways to support them.
Do you need our support?
We are the North Wales branch of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, created from a merger of our Anglesey, Clwyd and Gwynedd branches.
SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity is a trusted source of support for serving personnel, veterans and their families in their time of need. Founded in 1885, we’re extremely proud of our long-standing heritage and of all the work we do with inspiring people from North Wales, across the UK and around the world.
If you have any questions about fundraising in Wales or any other community activities, then please get in touch with our Community Engagement Team:
North Wales Branch is part of the SSAFA Wales Hub. All local enquiries are responded to by our Wales team, who can be contacted via wales.region@ssafa.org.uk or on 029 2294 1004, or by using the webform below.

We love what we do. The sense of pride you get when you know you’ve helped someone get their independence and dignity back is extraordinary. Through volunteering for SSAFA North Wales, you’ll have the chance to meet some truly inspiring people, with stories you’ll never forget. You’ll also gain new skills and experiences, but most importantly, you’ll make a difference in the lives of those who have dedicated their lives, often at great sacrifice, to protect our nation.
We cover a large area and are always looking for new volunteers. Why not give it a try?
You can help people in need by visiting, listening and talking to them, to work out the best ways to support them.
As the first point of contact for SSAFA in the area, you will play a crucial part in promoting SSAFA locally, organising events and ensuring the smooth running of SSAFA across the divisions in your branch.
