Grief, stress, anxiety, depression, fear.
Emotions that can paralyse anyone, trapping them in helplessness and dread. No one should face this alone, especially those who have served our country.
Tracy is one such veteran.
Her years in the Women’s Royal Army Corps had made her strong and proud, serving on the front line for the nation.
Life as a civilian unravelled it all.
Caring for her sick husband, then grieving his loss, left her with mounting debts and collapsing finances. Soon she was trapped at home, overwhelmed and unable to see a way out.
But then Tracy made a life-changing call - to SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.
This is Tracy's story:
SSAFA exists for everyone in the Armed Forces community. For those still serving, for their families, and for veterans just like Tracy.
We are here to provide the emotional and practical support anyone may need when faced with troubling times, whatever the cause, including the incredibly brave men and women in our Armed Forces and the families they leave behind.
Support SSAFA today in our mission to ensure that No One Battles Alone.
