Information about the run

Glasgow Fun Run is open to all ages and abilities this annual event caters for experienced as well as fun runners, serving personnel and their families.

The event is especially suited to group entries who are encouraged to use their imagination for fancy dress and participate in teams of 4. Please note that fancy dress is encouraged but not necessary.

Registration on the day will take place at the Winter Gardens. A warm up taken by a qualified fitness instructor will commence at 1145am with the race starting at 12pm.

All runners will receive a SSAFA medal and goodie bag including water and fruit at the finish line. A trophy will also be presented to the winners.

There is no minimum sponsorship for this event we just ask that you raise as much as you can. All money raised from this event will help SSAFA Glasgow continue to provide support for our forces and their families. In 2015 SSAFA volunteers worked on 3058 cases supporting veterans and their families in Scotland. 568 cases were within Glasgow and a further 476 across Lanarkshire, Dunbartonshire, Renfrewshire and Inverclyde.
