SSAFA Grampian Branch AGM 2024: Uniting for Veterans!

SSAFA Grampian Branch convened at Garioch Heritage Centre, Inverurie, for our annual AGM, bringing together volunteers and applicants to celebrate last year’s achievements.

With a vast geographical reach, this in-person gathering was a cherished opportunity to strengthen bonds and plan for the future.

Our collective focus remains on maximizing engagement with local communities and raising awareness of SSAFA’s mission in Grampian.

Joined by SSAFA Scotland’s Regional Team, including Walter Gallagher, Alisdair Johnston, and Lottie Bethell, the AGM featured insightful presentations on future plans.

His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire, Alexander Manson, concluded with heartfelt gratitude for our volunteers’ unwavering support.

Special appreciation was extended to outgoing Chair Mike Taitt, a Gordon Highlander veteran, honored with a symbolic gift. As Julie Silva and Shirley Lumby step into leadership roles, we aim to build upon past successes and serve our veterans with renewed dedication
