On this year's St George's day, a celebratory ball has been organised to raise funds to support injured and sick service personnel and their families who stay at SSAFA Norton House – Selly Oak. The event will boast a brass band, a raffle, auction and tombola as well as fantastic entertainment from Paul Shakespeare and will be held at Birmingham City Football Club, the Legends Lounge.
Taking place on Saturday 23rd April from 6.30 till late, tickets are £50 per person or £450 for a table of ten, you can get in touch by phone on 01214726310 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please also get in touch if you have something you would like to donate for the auction prizes.
Money raised from the event will go straight towards SSAFA Norton House in Selly Oak to support the fantastic work they do. Just a 5 minute drive from The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, staying at the house means that if someone you love is in hospital you are just round the corner, providing support and comfort in thier time of need. As the team at Selly Oak will proudly testify, since the house has been open they have witnessed many amazing moments and have seen first hand how having family nearby aids recovery. If any of the families staying need assistance staff are trained to be on hand if you need it, and will be there to answer any questions you might have.
