Rally for heroes visits SSAFA Norton Home

Big thanks to all the residents and staff at Norton House for making the Rally for Heroes fundraising team so welcome last weekend.

Participants on the rally came from all over the country to our Norton House in Epsom. This is our Home from Home facility just ten minutes from the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre.

The house was fully occupied with families and the rally family would like to thank them all for delaying their Sunday lunch and giving them a glimpse of how SSAFA provides personal support and a caring environment. The rally participants were given a run through of the event, fundraising advice and finally a truly inspirational and moving account of the Battle of Danny Boy told by Brian Wood MC.

The rally of 50 cars starts on 2 August and will travel through 10 countries in 10 days; driving 5 miles for every fallen serviceman since the start of the Afghan conflict.

All the participants are raising money for SSAFA and aim to hit £100,000 by August. 100% of the money they raise goes to SSAFA. Help them hit their fundraising target here.
