The Ant Middleton Fund was launched in 2018 to help veterans get back on their feet.

Ant Middleton, star of Channel 4's 'SAS: Who Dares Wins', launched the Ant Middleton Fund for SSAFA in July 2018 to help veterans like him get back on their feet as they return to civilian life.

Ant had previously turned to us at SSAFA for support when he struggled to cope after leaving the Special Forces, having ended up on the wrong side of the law, in prison and struggling to support his family.

With support from SSAFA, Ant got through the tough times and turned his life around to become the success story he is today. "I thought my transition was going to be easy, but I quickly found myself in a really bad place," explains Ant. "After years of putting myself through my paces to be the strongest I could be, both physically and mentally, I felt defeated. Luckily, when my family needed help, SSAFA was there for us."

The Ant Middleton Fund is a call to action: I want change, so we can stop reading stories of veterans unable to get the support they need. I’m hopeful that together we can put an end to any unnecessary suffering of those who risked their lives for our safety.

Help Ant and SSAFA raise the funds needed to provide critical support to the armed forces community, particularly for those veterans struggling to adapt to civilian life. Much of the money we raise goes towards training and supporting our extensive volunteer network, who provide direct mentoring to veterans, helping them adjust to the different freedoms, responsibilities and worries they face outside the armed forces.

You can also help veterans by volunteering in your local area.  If you are interested then please have a look at the volunteering roles available in your area.

If you are a member of the Armed Forces community - whether still serving, a veteran or a family member of said persons - and you need help, then please get in contact today.
