Legacy giving

By leaving a gift in your will to SSAFA, you can help create a brighter future for our Armed Forces and their families.

A gift in your will to support SSAFA's work makes a huge difference to the lives of those in the Forces family. Legacies ensure that we can continue our vital work helping those who have made sacrifices on behalf of our nation, people who need a helping hand to lead independent lives with dignity, knowing that their service to our nation is not forgotten.

Your gift could help us help others in many different ways, from providing critical welfare services to veterans and military families to helping us run Forcesline - our confidential helpline for all members of the armed forces community.

Large or small, every donation counts - together we can continue making a real difference to people’s lives. People who have served our nation and risked so much.

  • A gift of £750 could immediately help any members of the military, veterans or their families who are at risk of becoming homeless.
  • A gift of £5000 could train and provide for eight specialist mentors, each of whom will go on to help multiple Forces leavers who are struggling to adapt to civilian life.
  • A gift of £10,000 could fund over 50 short-break family weekends for children from military families suffering from illnesses or disabilities.
  • A gift of £50,000 could fund Norton House, which offers free, safe and supportive accommodation to families while their loved one is treated at the nearby Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre, for three months
