Sodexo employee to run London Marathon for SSAFA

24 February 2020

Tim Fagan, 44, works as a Contract Director at Sodexo in Exmouth, but will be taking on the London Marathon this April to raise money for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.

With a fundraising target of £5,000, Tim has already held a Christmas jumper day and plans to hold a ‘Bake, Bike, Donate’ event to help him reach his target.

For over 10 years, Sodexo have supported SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity with their partnership raising an incredible £350,000 so far.

Tim has been involved with previous fundraising activities for SSAFA, on behalf of Sodexo, including Armed Forces Day, and the a fundraising dinner at the Larkhill Garrison, which raised an impressive £57,000 for SSAFA.

I’m incredibly proud to be running my first ever marathon on behalf of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.  The Stop Hunger Foundation helps to address the urgent issue of deprivation amongst ex-servicemen and women, and their families. SSAFA, the Armed Forces do an amazing job at providing support for the Armed Forces community and it’s a cause very close to my heart.
