The 4th bi-annual 'Fun in the Field' event in Berwick St John, Wiltshire, raised £6,244.50 for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.

The 'Fun in the Field' event took place between the 23rd-25th August in Berwick St. John for military personnel, past and present, and was organised by locals, Gary & Yvonne Hall and Ian Smith together with their admin team.

The three partners started the event four years ago in 2015 with the aim to get the military community together, share their experiences and talk with likeminded people.

A cheque presentation was held on Friday 13th September to present £6,244.50 to Jim Morrison, Head of Community Fundraising for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity along with Mark Dineley, the land owner and the three partners and was supported by some of the local volunteers of Berwick St John and a few of their admin team members.

The event was themed around ‘Super- Heroes’ and hosted a range of entertainment, including live music and performances by local artists.

Our 4th Fun in the Field event was a huge success, with over 400 attending the event in Berwick St. John. We are all delighted to have raised over £6,000 for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity and look forward to organising the next event in August 2021.
