ABF The Soldiers' Charity provides new funding

SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, are delighted to announce that ABF The Soldiers' Charity – formerly known as the Army Benevolent Fund – has awarded two grants totalling £295,000 to support SSAFA’s Casework and Forcesline service.

The ongoing partnership between SSAFA and ABF The Soldiers' Charity will continue to help and support both Army personnel and veterans, as well as their families.

Last year, SSAFA's casework service supported 35,819 cases, including serving personnel and their families. This new funding ensures that members of the Army family will be supported in their time of need.

In addition, Forcesline, SSAFA's free and confidential telephone helpline, received almost 15,000 calls and emails in the first half of the year from serving personnel and veterans.

These two exceptionally generous donations from the ABF The Soldiers' Charity will allow SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity to continue to provide vital support to current and former members of the British Army and their families.
