365 Warriors motorcycle group raises money in memory of Royal Engineer

28 July 2021

On Sunday 18 July, 365 Warriors Motorcycle Group took on a charity ride out in memory of Bradley James Parks Duckett, whilst raising money for SSAFA.

The ride took place at Nottinghamshire Willingham Woods & Mablethorpe on Sunday 18 July. Bikers taking part were encouraged donate £5 to SSAFA, raising a total of £75.

365 Warriors Motorcycle were riding in memory of Bradley James Parks Duckett, known as Bradley Parks. He served in 26 Royal Engineer Regiment based in Tidworth and completed four years in the Army.

On 27 July 2019, Bradley took his own life after being diagnosed as bipolar three months earlier. He would have been discharged in February 2020.

Bradley’s parents, John and Rachel Parks, hope to raise awareness about mental health and help others who are suffering by supporting SSAFA. Their good friends Mark Pearman and Lydia Holmes, who run 365 Warriors Motorcycle, are also supporting them.

Mark Pearman said: “We have been wearing our SSAFA t-shirts and have created a patch in Bradley’s memory that we wear on our jackets. We have had a great response from passers-by telling us this is an important cause we are doing it for. I’m a big believer that giving to charity is important.”

Rachel Parks said: “After we got over the initial first anniversary, we decided we needed to have a focus. We want to raise awareness about mental health and help others.”
