This year as part of our Soldier 3030 event and in this World War One centenary year we are offering a special 14:18 route - teams of 4 can enter to trek a shorter route through the country side surrounding Denstone College in Uttoxeter. The challenge is still tough with teams taking on a 14 kilometer route carrying 18lb bags!
Teams are divided into 3 classes: Open (for teams not in wounded or insider), Wounded (for teams with a wounded team member) or Insider (for teams with local knowledge of the area) and can be all male, all female or mixed. We encourage applications from both military teams and civilian teams, but please note you need to be of good physical fitness and confident that you can navigate the countryside.
To take part in this route we ask that each team member pays a registration fee of £12.50 (£50 for a team of 4) and raise a minimum of £550 excluding gift aid.
For more information please visit the Soldier 30:30 website
We also offer a longer route for those who would like more of a challenge which takes place on the same day but is 30 miles or 30 kilometres carrying 30lb around the beautiful countryside of Stafforshire. To take part in this route was ask teams to pay a £50 registration fee per member (£200 for a team of 4) and raise a minimum of £1500 excluding gift aid. If you would like to apply for this route please click here.
This event is kindly hosted and organised by Denstone College in Uttoxeter and the Soldier 3030 team, who can provide one night of accomodation for teams in their sports hall the night before the challenge and who will also host a fantastic dinner after the event for all entrants.
