Your SSAFA New Years resolution list

From running a marathon to making a cup of tea, there's countless ways you can help us support our Armed Forces this year

It's the time of year where everyone is looking ahead and making plans for what they'll achieve for 2016. Here at SSAFA we're looking forward to a great year providing continued, unwavering support for our Armed Forces family.

1. Fundraise
Whether you put the kettle on for our annual Big Brew Up or choose to do your own fundraising activities, your contribution will make a huge impact.  There are thousands of ways you can raise money for SSAFA - from dress down days at work and world record attempts to quiz nights and cake baking. Find out more and register your event here:

2. Donate
In 2014 SSAFA helped 35,181 serving or ex serving personnel locally, answered 20,774 calls to our help lines, and supported 23,000+ people through our services and projects. None of that would be possible without the incredible support and contributions from our donors. Find out more about becoming a regular donor or making a one off donation to the charity here:

3. Volunteer
At the heart of SSAFA is our incredible and ever growing volunteer network. Whether you want to support our Armed Forces community by giving a helping hand, being a listening ear or even helping to balance the books, we have volunteer roles to suit you. Find out more and check out our existing volunteer roles here:

4. Share
The more people who can read and learn about what we do, the more people we can help. Each time you share one of our Facebook posts or tweets you expand our reach and enable us to reach more people who might need our help. Haven't checked out what we're up to on Facebook or Twitter? Check out the SSAFA pages now.

5. Challenge
Whether you want to run, cycle, trek, jump, drive or abseil, you can join #teamSSAFA for a charity challenge adventure that supports our Armed Forces family. From climbing to the summit of Ben Nevis to cycling the Ride of Britain, find your event here: and get training!
