SSAFA publishes strategic review for the next five years

In 2016, we helped 67,616 people through our charitable and specialist services. Our amazing volunteer network had even more cases and visits than the previous year with them locally helping 38,978 people. We are proud at how far we have come in the past year, with the release of the Frontline report which went further in recognising the changing needs of our beneficiaries. Following on from this we have developed a strategic review of where we are going in the next five years.

Our Annual report and accounts and Impact report were published along with the launch of our new strategy (2017-2022) at the Annual Members Meeting on 12 July. You can read them here.

We pledge to have the back of our Armed Forces, at sea, in the air and on the ground. Our strategic aims of the upcoming five years will be to understand and adapt to the needs of our beneficiaries and through doing so, provide effective support. We will strive to be respected, known and understood in the sector and provide sustainable resources to help facilitate our volunteers on the ground and train our staff in specialised roles. We will continue and build on our collaborative working within the organisation and with external partners.

Three services, one charity, one SSAFA.
