The festival will be held from 9-12 August and will aim show thanks and appreciation to all Service Personnel and their loved ones with beautiful flower displays and exhibits laid out throughout the Church.
The display will take visitors on a magical journey of commemoration from the battlefields of WW1 at YPRES and the Somme through to an exhibit representing the Cycles Battalion of the East Yorkshire Regiment. The Blitz and how it impacted on Hull and East Yorkshire through to the conflicts post WW11 of the Falklands, Iraq, Bosnia and Afghanistan. Visitors will be able to admire the flowers beautifully set out in the choir stalls and displays showing how women of the area played their part in the war effort; producing food and clothes for the nation. In addition to this the remembrance gardens have been specially designed by the children of the Church with poppies and wild flowers.
