Sign up for a SSAFA adventure holiday!

Our adventure holidays for Service children are back - find out what's on offer for children with additional needs and their siblings and young carers this year.

Sign up for a SSAFA adventure holiday!

Young people are being offered the chance to sign up for one of SSAFA’s exciting adventure holidays and this summer there will be an extra break for older children.

The short breaks are for Service children with an additional need or disability, their siblings and young carers, and give young people the opportunity to make new friends and build their confidence. They also get to try a range of exciting activities such as horse-riding, abseiling, kayaking and archery.

Joshua Wasden, 8, was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder in 2010. He attended SSAFA’s Additional Needs and Disability Break last year. Dad Fraser, who is in the Royal Military Police, said: “Joshua loved his time away and asked when we collected him if he could come again. We cannot praise the break enough. Angie, the volunteer carer provided for Joshua, did an amazing job looking after him and it was a fantastic time for the family to recuperate. A win win situation for everyone.”
