Support Groups for Bereaved Families

Sometimes the people who help most are those who have been through the same experiences. SSAFA Support Groups is a community of Forces families and individuals all facing similar challenges who help each other and offer mutual support.

Military Families Affected by the Suicide of a Loved One (MFAS)

SSAFA's new support group will give you the opportunity to share your experiences, get information and advice, and meet others in the same position. The group is open to anyone in the family unit or friends affected by the loss of a loved one who has been serving in the Armed Forces and has taken their own life. Bereaved Support Group (BSG)

The Bereaved Support Group (BSG) is for parents/carers/supporters, of any serving or veteran or family member of any tri service armed forces personnel. It is for over 18’s who have suffered a bereavement, regardless of whether it took place in a combat, training, or non-combat scenario (e.g. RTA). Join us to meet and talk with other families who have lost a loved one whilst serving in the Armed Forces. We provide mutual support, information and advice.
