Information about SSAFA Stepping Stone Homes

Our Stepping Stone Homes are a place to stay for women and their children when their relationship with someone in the Forces breaks down.

Who can stay with us?

The Stepping Stone Homes are for:

  • Separated or estranged wives
  • Servicewomen and former servicewomen
  • UK and non-UK female citizens
  • Those who depend on any of these women.

If you are a welfare agency and wish to refer someone to stay with us, fill out our referral form with their details and return it to us.

Inside the Homes

The homes are fully furnished and equipped so you just need to bring your personal items such as clothes and your children’s favourite teddy bear, to help them through a difficult time. Unfortunately, we are unable to store any large items at the house, but we can help you find suitable storage arrangements.
