FANDF privacy notice

This privacy policy sets out the data processing practices of SSAFA with regards to the Forces Additional Needs and Disability Forum (FANDF) and collecting personal information in electronic and manual form.

Who are we?

SSAFA is the data controller. This means it decides how your personal data is processed and for what purpose. In this case, the purpose is as a member of the FANDF support group.

What we do with the information?

The information that we collect from you via our ‘intake form’ will be stored securely on our FANDF database. You will be added to our FANDF mailing list and as a FANDF member will receive information via email (and sometimes mail) of information on topics of interest, our e-Newsletter and invitations for our biennial conference at the MOD and other regional FANDF events.

If you wish to be removed from the database due to eligibility or feel that you no longer require the service, we ask that you get in touch with the Additional Needs and Disability Advisor on ANDA@ssafa.org.uk

Once we receive your request we will remove you from the FANDF database and destroy your personal information appropriately. Please note that if you wish to be a FANDF member again you will need to complete a new ‘intake form’ which can be found on our webpage or sent to you on request.

Storing your information

Information is stored on computers located at SSAFA Central Office on a secure database. Only staff within the Additional Needs and Disability Team can access this database.

Sharing your information

We will only share your information if we are legally required to do so, e.g. by a law enforcement agency legitimately exercising a power or if compelled by an order of the Court.
