“I’d been to the London Marathon in 2015 and thought, ‘I need to do that’! I set up a Virgin Money Giving page after I got my place. I then did lots of social media posts, often after my long runs. I timed them around when people were getting paid. And talked about why SSAFA is so important to me, and – if someone gave me £5 – what that would mean to the charity.
People in our Armed Forces give their lives to serve their country. For me, that’s why charities like SSAFA are so worthwhile. In a blink of an eye, I’d do it again!”
