Be a veteran's hero

They were there for us, help us be there for them

Be a veteran's hero

Last year, we found a shocking 41% of veterans aged 25-45 surveyed have felt lonely, isolated or suicidal since leaving the Forces. After all they have given us, we feel it is our duty to help make sure no veteran's call goes unanswered.

We have volunteer vacancies across the country and are looking for motivated individuals to do join our team. If you could spare some time to meet with veterans and families, to talk through their problems and help provide the right solutions, we'd love to hear from you.

The information you provide will be used to create a personal record on our database if your application to become a SSAFA volunteer is successful. It will not be used for any other purpose or shared with any other organisation; all data collected from unsuccessful applicants will be destroyed as soon as it is no longer needed. SSAFA complies with the Data Protection Act 1998.
My favourite thing about volunteering for SSAFA is the fact that when someone contacts us they are no longer alone, they don't have to worry alone any more - we are here to shoulder the problem.
